Have you ever wondered about the background to the historic buildings in Waringstown? If so, an up-coming guided walk will offer the opportunity to find out more about the village’s architectural heritage and what it can tell us about the social and economic development of Waringstown.
Waringstown Historical Society (which is part of Waringstown Development Association) is hosting the walk on Thursday 9 June at 7pm. It will cover the key buildings in the centre of the village and explain the part they have played in the development of the area. Anyone interested in participating in the walk is asked to meet at Waringstown Primary School main gates at 6.55pm so that the walk can leave promptly at 7pm. Participants are asked to make a donation of £3.00 to support the work of the historical society. The walk will last for about 75 minutes.
